The service also offers a fortnightly peer support group for adults resident to Wales that have been bereaved through suicide.  Which can be accessed in person or online.

The service is relevant to anyone in Wales who has been bereaved through suicide.

Dedicated postvention support service for those bereaved by suicide


Hywel Dda University Health Board

Provide Specialist Bereavement Counselling (all deaths) to residents within Carmarthenshire, both Adults and CYP

Provide Specialist Counselling, staff attend training workshops and attend appropriate CPD trainings related to their role

We offer Counselling support through the medium of Welsh and information is provided bilingually.

Sandy Bear Children’s Bereavement Charity

Sandy Bear Children’s Bereavement Charity has been funded to deliver a pilot project of ‘Supporting children bereaved through suicide across Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire’. Our funded aim is to extend the Sandy Bear Children’s Bereavement Charity model of care to children and young people who are in greatest need across West Wales and to understand the best ways to sustain the expansion of our service.


Swansea NPT

Available to support anyone following a death, regardless of age of deceased or circumstances of death. Our only requirement is that the person has to die in Swansea Bay (Swansea Neath Port Talbot Area) and we will support the family/contact persons.

The support is universal and immediate, we will make contact usually within 24 hours of death. Our first contact will be to offer generic support, and then tailor the offer depending on the situation of the individual

Welsh speaking member on the Team and all our literature is bilingual (our website is under revision so there is no page yet, but it will also be bilingual).
